Jewelry Mart is always buying diamonds. Any shape or size for immediate top cash payments. Below are answers to some of the most asked questions we have frequented over the years. We believe that the more informed you are you will be assured that JewelryMart is giving you the best money for your valuables.

How do we determine the price we pay?

Price is determined by a number of factors:

  • Color & Clarity
  • Carat weight
  • Shape
  • Cut & Proportion
  • Marketability

Our professional appraisers will evaluate these factors in your full view while you watch & wait to determine the value of your diamond. We will then make you a high cash offer. There is never any obligation or pressure for you to sell. If you accept our offer, as most people do, payment is made immediately on the spot.

What are appraisals & the values they represent?

An insurance appraisal represents a high estimate of replacing the diamond at a retail jewelry store. It includes the cost of exactly reproducing your item as well as the jeweler's expenses & profit. An insurance appraisal value is not an actual cash value. Insurance appraisals ignore the condition, marketability and style of the item. Thus an insurance appraisal will always be much higher than the actual cash value.

If you have items for sale you need cash offers not an appraisal. Cash offers from a jeweler or diamond dealer will help you determine the actual cash value of your items. An offer is the actual cash price someone will pay you on the spot for your jewelry & diamonds. A jeweler or dealer that suggests a consignment is not making an offer. Frequently consignments never sell or may take many months or years to sell. Remember the jeweler will want to sell his or her merchandise first.

Do I need to bring in my appraisal or receipt?

If you have your appraisal or receipt, by all means bring them in with your diamond. However, they are not necessary as Americash Jewelry & Coin Buyers has a staff of GIA trained professional appraisers. If your diamond has an independent third party laboratory grading certificate from GIA or EGL be sure to bring it in with your diamond.

At Jewelry Mart Buyers we buy nearly everything offered to us by people who have a correct understanding of value. We even buy diamonds from other jewelers and antique dealers!
